Lucy Ahachynska's journey as an author-evolutionist began in her childhood. From the moment Lucy unwrapped the birthday gift - Encyclopedia for Children, Animals and Plants - her fate was sealed. The pages teemed with exotic life the 9-year-old child had no idea existed. Lucy dreamed of becoming Biologist. However, life had other plans for her. She pursued engineering, but the economic system of her country eventually collapsed and in 1997 then 44 years-old Electrical Engineer emigrates to Canada. Adaptation is a process of change by which the organism becomes better suited to its environment. Transition to Computer Programming honed her analytical skills and ability to navigate through the ocean of information; there was no shortage of survival jobs, too. Each skill was a stepping-stone, leading Lucy to the role intended for her.
Behind the scenes, Lucy faced personal battles. She recognized a pattern - some people acted as if they were completely stripped of love. The unhappy families followed the pattern, the unhappy romantic relationships followed the pattern. Why love disappears and hate appears instead? The self-made psychologist dives in the intricate web of human behavior, weaving together stories of manipulation and resilience. Looking for the origins of the phenomenon, Lucy recreated the whole evolution of animals and plants we know as The Story of Life: only if the sequence of events in the Story of Life is correct, a pattern will emerge. Her discoveries Lucy Ahachynska eventually poured into her book, aptly titled "Evolution. The Pattern".
